Subject to validation

What does ‘subject to validation’ mean?

Our programmes are validated by University of Plymouth. ‘Subject to validation’ means the course is in development and the details of the course are in the process of being finalised with us by the university. We expect the validation process to be completed by March 2020. The majority of new courses with this status are approved; however, this is not guaranteed and should the course not go ahead you will be informed by the university and assistance will be provided to those who have been offered a place to find a suitable alternative course either at Dartington or at another provider. Students who need a Tier 4 Visa to study in the UK will not be issued with CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) for courses that are Subject to Validation and will need to wait until the approval process is completed.
